Victim of Cell phone FRAUD ?

Me and my husband did…since last year when I got my new Verizon phone, I started receiving these text messages that I thought were just advertisements for some match-making thing…the texts said something about “soulmate love” and $9.99, but I always deleted those as soon as I received them and never, ever replied or texted back anything. I never thought anything else about it until recently when my husband (who pays the bill online) was comparison shopping the plans so we can upgrade… and he found that we have been charged for over a year for these texts I’d been receiving. I never received any services…no horoscopes, no whatever they are…but we were charged all this time, and it was $20.00 per month and once it was $40 in addition to our normal cell phone bill. He never though much about our bill being $20 more…he thought I’d been texting my Mom a lot (who lives in another state) and he just paid the bills and was done with it. Last December, it was $40 more and he did mention to me about it being a lot higher but I told him I didn’t understand and that I had not been texting her much at all.

So, by accident he found out that we’ve paid about $400 more than we ever should…for services we never signed up for or agreed to !! We complained to Verizon and they eventually credited our account for $60 (they could only go back 3 months, they said) and we filed a FRAUD complaint with them. They also gave us the number to contact the company charging these fees, which is MOBILE MESSENGER, who also used names like soulmatelove.com and MMTXT that appears on your bill. They’re all the same company and my husband researched the internet and found that the man that is behind this whole scam, and who is cheating tons of people around the WORLD out of money and wasting their time, as well…because they have to fight with their service carrier to get their money back, or some of it…he is living in Australia and there have been lawsuits against him in the past or maybe currently, I hope. He is a millionaire now because of his LOW-LIFE way of doing business, because he’s too sorry to get a REAL JOB like most other people ! There are many class-action lawsuits going on because of these fraudulent text charges and we should all be aware and watch your cell phone bills carefully. If you find that you’re having this same problem, DO something about it and complaint, file a fraud report, etc.

I found this information on the man who supposedly owns this company–do with it what you may :

If you’d like to fight back, send complaints to Mobile Messenger in Australia:

Eugeni Zhenya Tsvetnenko
19 Hawkins St Mt Pleasant 6153
Australia
0 9364 6646
melissa.valenzuela@mobilemessenger.com
david.young@mobilemessenger.com.au

or Mobile Messenger in Santa Monica, California:
Michael Pajaczkowski
2700 Colorado Ave #450, Santa Monica, CA 90404
mobilemessenger.com

CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT VERIZON WIRELESS AND OTHER CARRIERS ARE ALLOWING THIS TO HAPPEN ??? Knowing that there are all of these lawsuits going on and unauthorized charges…and yet they let these THIEVES continue to use THEM to do their billing !! They must make a profit on the transactions, so they are just as guilty UNTIL DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT AND STOP DOING BUSINESS WITH THESE GUYS.

Have you had similar experiences and if so, please share them here on Yahoo Answers…maybe one day we can do something to stop this junk from happening anymore.

Thanks for any input you have !

Where to buy a decent family computer on very limited budget?

Stina asked:

I had an acer laptop that I shared with my fiance and kids for nearly 2 years. However during our recent moved it got badly damaged and I could not afford to replace it. We have struggled without a pc for nearly 2 months and now trying to get settled in our new place, I am realising just how badly we need a pc. My fiance is currently looking for an additional job and I am trying to care for 3 kids on limited budget in a new area. Just for email, maps and some comparison shopping it will make a huge difference to have internet access. Plus my daughter is in 3rd grade and would love to do some school stuff on the computer. Does anyone know how/where I can find a very basic, durable, pc for a discounted price?

Should I buy the Ford Escape 4 cyl or V6?

I’m looking at buying a Ford Escape, an 07 or 08 (although I think I like the newer styling better). I’ve been doing some comparison shopping and have come across quite a few of them that are 4 cylinder, which has really surprised me. I thought an SUV that size would require a V6. The 4 cylinder would be nice for higher mpg, but I get nervous that it wouldn’t have enough pep. I’d love to hear from anyone that currently drives or has driven an Escape, thanks!

Making price comparisons with online shopping

The reason why so many people spend a lot of time online to research on the products that they want to buy BEFORE they actually buy it is because comparison shopping, especially online shopping, pays! Well, it doesn’t actually pay you cash, but it will work to your advantage to find out everything you can about the product(s) before you buy them. Some comparison shopping websites give unbiased reviews about the products that they have used and some comparison shopping websites even have links to websites where you can shop online too!

Well, who doesn’t know that we can get stuff really cheap in eBay? The good thing about reading about the unbiased reviews from others through sites like eBay and other auction sites is that you will be in a better position to make an informed decision. Even if the reviews are bad and you decided to go ahead and get it, you won’t regret it because you’re, well, sort of, prepared for it.

Sites like bottomdollar.com, epinions.com, mysimon.com and pricescan.com allows the consumers to look through a whole directory of products, click on the products that they want to read about, and see the consumer ratings there. On top of that, they can even choose which seller to buy it from. These are, as far as we can tell, genuine personal opinions of consumers and it’s really quite fun to do some comparison shopping there!

One of the biggest reasons why we love comparison shopping is this – not only are the products and the product prices compared, but, in fact, even the merchants selling those products are rated. This helps consumers stay away from merchants with bad reputations. As you know, fraud is rampant on the Internet and online shoppers are extremely careful about who they pay and who they provide their personal information to. You don’t want to your online shopping experience to scare you off online shopping forever, do you?

Independent comparison shopping websites are preferred over sites that promote and recommend their own sister company’s products. The reviews and ratings may not be reliable in this instance. Take a look at the background of the comparison shopping website and see if they are related, in any way at all, to merchants or service providers that could taint their ability to provide unprejudiced reviews.

Last but not least, comparison shopping is also about choices – otherwise, what are you comparing against? So, the more diverse their range of products is, the more options you have. The more merchants listed in their comparison shopping website, the better for you to compare prices in the website.

Happy comparing!

Cheap match for Benefit Benetint Lip Balm?

perfectpitchsopranobeautyaddict asked:

Hi! I just have one question? What is a good, pretty much exact match for the Benetint Lip Balm? I love the color, but i want to see if there’s a cheaper version or similar shade to it before I fork out the twenty or twenty plus dollars USD to pay for it. I don’t have a problem with spending that much for a great product, but like most everybody i like to comparison shop before I buy usually in order to get a great product at a cheap or cheaper price. That being said, I will NOT buy makeup or any other cosmetic item from Ebay or swap for them because it is potentially unsanitary, so bear that in mind when and if you answer my question. Thanks a million and Blessings to all!
