I’m from Dallas and I’ll be in Houston, TX for Thanksgiving and was hoping to catch a great sale or two – no items in specific, but I am partial to thrift shops and off-the-beaten path / edgy stores that’s away from the mainstream.

Our better thrift shops are Blue Bird Circle & The Guild Shop, both in the Montrose area. You will also find some edgy stores in Montrose, Edin & Wish come to mind and there is an American Apparel right there too. Domy Books has cool Japanese knick knacks & edgy books.Start at Westheimer @ Dunlavy and walk East towards Montrose Ave.or19th Street in the Heights, lots of cute, edgy shops between Heights Ave. & Nicholson Street. Jubilee, Retropolis, & Tansu are some of the shops that are more fun.
