Question for anyone who shops online ?
I own an online boutique and want to find out what customers feel is most valuable so can you please answer the following question?
Is it more important for you to receive FREE Shipping/returns or lower prices?
For example, both Zappos and Piperlime offer Free Shipping/Returns but their prices are inflated to cover these costs so in reality, it is really not free but this seems to appeal to a lot of people.
Here is why I ask:
Piperlime offers a handbag at $84. We sell the same bag for $69.99 plus $7 for (2-3 day priority) shipping so total is $76.99. So you save $7 when purchased from us.
Zappos sell a ring for $67. We sell the same ring for $49.99 plus $7 for (2-3 day priority) shipping so total is $56.99 In this example you save close to $20.
Do you just look at sites that offer Free Shipping or would you take the time to comparison shop?
Less than 10% of people return something so I didn’t want to charge for something they likely would never use but if this is more important to you than just the price point, I would love to know so I can incorporate that.
