Name the cheapest camera for closeups. My Sony DSCH1 with 10X zoom with anti-stabilization was stolen?
hanging around asked:
I would be happy to buy on Amazon, used, maybe something in the $200 range. I really need a camera that can do closeups, as small as 1/4 of a piece of standard typing paper, without blurring. I also **** it when a camera has a lag time. Those are really the most important things to me. Someone suggested an Easy Share and to use the ‘set for portrait’ mode when I do my closeups (photos from books).

I WOULD buy another Sony DSCH1 with 10X zoom except it was too expensive the first time then when it got it stolen at work they had to do a crime investigation of everyone which was a drag. So I need one where it won’t ‘break the bank’ if it gets stolen again as I have no locked storage, I need it for my job. I just have to “hide it” well. I have no idea how to ‘comparison’ shop for features that can do close ups and not shake. I just know that two cameras I borrowed to use had both those problems and were totally unsatisfactory. I live in a very small town 3 hours from Best Buy.
