Why won’t Google let me go directly to my clicked site?

KPRSNAX asked:

Recently when I click a site on Google I get sent to other sites like Bizrate, Shopzilla and other shopping comparison pages. I find it very annoying. If I try again it will let me go to my original page. Did I accidentally download something I shouldn’t have? How do I stop it?
I think I found it!
I decided to leave this question up as a warning.
The problem came with my WOT add on.

How to Comparison Shop Online

Posted by admin | Clothing | Tuesday 26 August 2008 11:30 pm
Sasha asked:

By definition, comparison shopping is the act of finding an item that you like at one store and comparing its price to other retailers who carry the same item.  This process is second-nature for many who love to shop and can result in some great savings.  However, this process can be very time consuming and arduous when shopping at brick-and-mortar stores.  This means that paying the extra cost for an item can be worth more than spending the time to find it at a better price elsewhere!  This is where comparison shopping online comes in an efficient and economical to continue to still get great savings on items you love.

1) To start, find a great online shopping directory.  This helps alleviate much of the stress and anxiety experienced by first-time shoppers since a wide category of different stores is in one place.  This means you can find a variety of clothing, lingerie, and shoe stores at your fingertips.

2) Next, you want to have an idea of what you are looking for, for example a strappy navy blue high-heeled sandal.  That may seem broad, but it is a definite start.  Keep a notepad and pencil nearby to jot down the prices and location of various items that match that description.

3) Surf through the shopping directory and look for stores under the category for which you are looking, in this case, look for stores under the category of “Shoes” or “Footwear”, store categories will differ depending on the shopping directory.

*Tip: Better organized online shopping directories will not only have featured retailers organized by category but will also have separate webpages for  men and women’s retailers.

4) With your notepad and pencil, go to some of the various shoe retailers featured and search for shoes fitting the description of what you are searching for.

*Tip: Higher quality shopping directories will also have each featured retailer open up in a new browser window whenever you click on them.  This means you can browse several retailers at once and you will never lose your place on the shopping directory website.

5) After you find the item you want at the most desirable price, place your order.  Try to only shop at online retailers that have a Better Business Bureau seal, very high customer ratings, or both.  The best part about it is that many retailers offer free shipping, this means you will only pay for the price of the product, the exact same procedure as if you purchased it at a brick-and-mortar store.

Comparison shopping online, it’s a great saver of both time and money. Like anything else, it will take a bit of practice to be able to perform it efficiently. I know this will help you shop like a pro in to time.  Good luck and happy shopping!

Comparison Shopping Engines – Less Efforts, More Sales

Posted by admin | Ecommerce | Tuesday 26 August 2008 11:38 am
Martin Wann asked:

Today, more and more consumers are heading to Comparison Shopping Engines (CSEs) as their first stop when purchasing goods online. These engines place the offerings of many online merchants side by side, allowing potential customers to make easy price and feature comparisons. Let’s name some of them: Google Base, Shopping.com, Shopzilla.com, Yahoo Shopping, MSN Shopping, Price Grabber, Amazon.com, Kelkoo, MySimon, and others.

Price comparison service allows potential customers to see lists of prices for specific products. Usually, these services do not sell the goods themselves, but get and store prices of online stores which, actually, sell these products. These engines offer many options not offered by regular search engines, including the ability to sort products by price, see merchant ratings, and get updated merchant information.

Comparison Shopping Engines help visitors to choose from a variety of products and to get wanted product for better price. Many merchants place their products in several shopping engines simultaneously. They know – the more people see their goods the profit they will get as a result.

To start using such Comparison Shopping Engines you need to place there a list of your products with some details, called Product Feed. In order to start you have to register an account with engine, prepare a product feed with a list of products, prices, descriptions (options, unique features), following every engine’s requirements. Uploading and monitoring your data is quite time consuming, especially if you want to register at couple of such engines and place a list of thousands products.

It means you will need some professional help. You may choose among free and commercial software. I advise you to try All-in-One Data Feed Modules Pack by MagneticOne.com. MagneticOne created such feeds pack for osCommerce, X-Cart, Zen Cart and CRE Loaded shopping carts. This is thoroughly developed software, which will help you to export your products to all of the most popular Comparison Shopping Engines.

All-in-One Data Feeds Pack by MagneticOne has numerous benefits for your store:

… allows you to list products in the most popular Comparison Shopping Engines

… gives you the possibility to get statistics from Comparison Shopping Sites so you can keep track of the results

… set up once and runs steady

… keeps you updated (includes 6 months of software updates)

 … no monthly payments

… greatly increases the number of sales

The reason this software is better than similar free one is that free software usually supports only one Comparison Shopping Engine and has limited functionality. Which means if you want to broadcast your products in multiple engines you have to make separate data feed for each of them. As every shopping engine has the requirement of its own for Product Feed. So you need to follow all instructions for each separate engine. That’s why you need All-in-One Data Feeds Pack by MagneticOne. This software will do this job for you!

If you want your online store to be successful, competitive, and bring profit – you really ought to use All-in-One Data Feeds for osCommerce, X-Cart, Zen Cart and CRE Loaded shopping carts Pack. See how it works yourself at MagneticOne.com/store.

Is my 560 SL Mecedes really a SL if it has a back seat with seats and belts?

french7suzi asked:

I bought a Mercedes on eBay…really cool car. It’s a 560 SL, black, with tan interior and four seats with belts. When doing some comparison shopping, I called around and asked if their cars had back seats. I heard many times “The car you’re describing sounds like a 560 SLC.” The back of the car reads clearly SL, but maybe the C came off? The guy I bought it from doesn’t know anything about Mercedes. Did the SL have a special edition? Is it a C? Or is it a customization?
